1. Information we collect & use
The "Global News Explorers" app can be used without any sign-in, and we collect no personally identifiable information. The records created as you use the app — stories you've read, country stamps you've gathered, and badges (your passport) — are stored in your device's local storage (localStorage).
2. Delivering news content
To show each day's news, the app downloads news content from the operator's server (or CDN). This is an ordinary request to receive content; no personally identifiable information about you is sent with it.
3. Where information is stored
- Everything you create in the app (stamps, badges, reading records) is stored only on your device.
4. External links
Choosing View original article opens an external news site, and a simple confirmation step is required before leaving so you don't navigate away by accident. External sites handle data under their own policies.
5. Third-party sharing
We do not sell or share collected information with third parties. On-device records are not transmitted to any external server.
6. Retention & deletion
On-device data disappears as soon as you delete the app or choose "Reset settings" in the app.
7. Safe by design
The app collects no identifiable personal information and includes no ads, location tracking, or analytics SDKs. It is rated for all ages, and external sites open only after a simple confirmation step.
8. Permissions
The app does not request sensitive permissions such as camera, microphone, contacts, or location. The read-aloud feature uses your device's built-in speech synthesis.
